In my Bio I touched briefly on how my own yoga practice began. In many ways I still consider myself a beginner. I would love to hear from any of you willing to share your earliest memories of beginning Yoga. You can use this post to tell us your own story of your first class or introduction to yoga and any thoughts or feelings that followed. I leave you with a quote from Baron Baptiste’s book Journey Into Power, “Any creative person knows not to despise the days of small beginnings-the first brushstroke, the first word on a blank piece of paper, the first note played. Those fragile beginnings are precious, for no masterpiece could ever come into being without them… do not despise the days of small beginnings, for it is in those moments that you open new doors to discovery through which all things are possible.”

This is a very meaningful quote that I’ll remember as I continue these days in my own beginning yoga practice. Thanks a lot to you, Anne, for your excellent, compassionate guidance when I attended your classes with Richard and Anne.
Thanks Gary,
I’m glad you enjoyed my classes. And good for you staying with it back in Oregon. A little yoga goes a long way in improving the overall quality of one’s life.
Let me know how you’re doing with your practice from time to time.
Be well!
Anne
